Privacy Policy
How InstantPlow collects, uses, shares, and protects information.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when using our website, requesting or enrolling in service, communicating with us, or using a portal. This may include contact information such as name, email, phone number, service address, and communication preferences; property and service information such as a mapped service area, driveway dimensions, selected services, preferred completion time, access instructions, notes, and photos; and account, communication, service-history, dispute, and transaction information.
Qualified payment providers process payment credentials. InstantPlow may receive and retain transaction status and limited payment identifiers, but this policy does not state that InstantPlow stores full card numbers. We also collect technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, access dates and times, referring source, cookies or similar technologies, and analytics or performance data.
2. How we use information
We use information to calculate pricing; establish a service area; create and manage accounts; coordinate, route, and document service; assign providers; communicate service status; process payments and receipts; provide support; resolve disputes, refunds, and damage claims; maintain records; prevent fraud; secure our systems; improve the service and website; and comply with law.
Providers and InstantPlow may generate service records such as completion date and time, assigned provider, services performed, provider notes, service status, and completion photographs.
3. How we share information
We share the minimum customer and property information reasonably necessary with an assigned provider to perform service. This can include the service address, mapped area, selected services, property notes, access instructions, preferred completion time, and relevant contact information when operationally necessary. Providers should not receive unrelated billing history or unnecessary information.
We may share information with vendors that support payment processing, hosting, databases and cloud services, email or text communications, mapping and address services, analytics, security and fraud prevention, customer-account systems, and other necessary business technology. We may also disclose information as reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, investigate fraud, protect people or property, enforce agreements, establish or defend claims, or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets.
4. No sale of personal information
InstantPlow does not sell customer personal information. We do not share customer personal information with third parties for those third parties' own targeted-advertising purposes.
5. Completion photographs and retention
We may photograph the service area to document performance, confirm service, resolve disputes, investigate damage, and maintain operational records. Completion photographs are generally retained for about 30 days, but may be retained longer when reasonably needed for claims, disputes, legal obligations, fraud or security review, or another legitimate purpose.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the customer relationship, transactions and accounting, tax or legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, insurance or claims, and other legitimate purposes. We may later delete or anonymize information where appropriate.
6. Your choices and communications
You may request appropriate access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information through the Customer Portal or a contact method InstantPlow designates. We may retain information where needed for transactions, unpaid balances, tax or accounting records, disputes, fraud prevention, or legal claims.
Operational messages about service status, provider activity, completion, billing, account issues, weather, or support are not the same as marketing messages. Marketing communications include applicable unsubscribe or opt-out methods.
7. Security, children, and changes
We use reasonable measures intended to protect information, but no system is absolutely secure. Our services are intended for adults 18 or older, and we do not knowingly seek personal information directly from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
